Charm is a 2001 BS APHA Palomino mare.  She is drop dead gorgeous and well trained.  She has been ridden in High School Equestrian Team meets as well as 4-H meets for a couple of years and just recently was ridden to OHST state competition (she does not require a tie down, but in the HS Eq. Team video she is pictured with one because that is part of their attire).  She has competed at many things, showmanship, Drill Team (as you can see from above she carries a flag no problem!), Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Team Penning, Trails and she is lightly started over fences.  She clips (inside her ears too!), bathes (although she does not like her face washed) and hauls fine.  She does prefer to be ridden with spurs.  She is not a speedy horse so would not be suitable for speedy gaming.  I have had young kids on her supervised in the round pen with no problems, however, I think in a large arena or on trails she would be too much for young kids (fine for teenagers).  She prefers a confident rider and since I broke my arm a couple years ago on a green horse I am just not confident anymore.  She ponies off my ATV.  She is an easy keeper.  She neck reins and is currently working in a tom thumb with short shanks and a leather chin strap (considered a legal full bridle by USEF for horses over 5 years old).  A 7 year old girl can go catch her and halter her up and ask her to do showmanship.  She really doesn't have any bad habits other than not liking her face washed.    She does flying lead changes, but does sometimes tend to want to drop her left shoulder a little.  I have put her in many new situations and she has handled them well.
